-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Man On The Bridge - 97k, M - Steve Rogers turning up at Tony's door in the middle of the night might be a bit out of character, but it’s not completely out of the realm of possibility. Stranger things have happened. Steve Rogers turning up at Tony's door with an amnesiac assassin - who may or may not have some of Tony's personally designed hardware attached where his arm should be - well that's just far too interesting to turn away, even if Tony is trying to avoid all things S.H.I.E.L.D these days.

People Should See How We're Living - 2k, T,- There was a stray cat one spring when Steve was a kid, gray and spindly, matted. She used to look at him with these huge eyes, like she was waiting for his fist to close around her neck, like she knew it was shameful weakness letting him this close to her, but she just couldn't stand to be alone any more. Bucky makes that same face.

Coming Back Around - 5k, T, - Steve comes home one night feeling exhausted after a mission and months spent looking for Bucky. But as the saying goes 'stop searching and what you are seeking will find you'.

The Steven G. Rogers Guide to What You Missed the Last Few Years - 5k, T, - Steve's got the hang of this 21st century thing.

I've Been Careless With A Delicate Man - 9k, M - Steve lets SHIELD think he and Bucky were boyfriends so they'll let him see the Winter Soldier in medical.

Lost my fear of falling 1k, M, - Gradual, gorgeous post-Winter Soldier recovery with the best ending anyone could ever have come up with. Pretty and perfectly-paced.

What we find in the telling -1k, T, - Steve tells people about Bucky Barnes. Poignant and lovely and so beautifully written.

To make bright and clear your path - Utterly gorgeous scenes from Bucky's fragmented, but healing, mind. The best characterization in all the land.

Take this pulse with you 1k, G, - Bucky listens to Steve's heartbeat. Spans seventy years, from pre-WWII, to post-Winter Soldier. Lovely.

Bed and Breakfast - Bucky recovers and Steve tries to help. Desperately beautiful imagery.

Soft Spot for the Hell Raisin' Boy - Bucky gives Sam tips for the care and feeding of one Steve Rogers. Funny and well-written and fun.

There is thunder in our hearts - Steve and Sam take Bucky on a trip. Bucky's re-learning himself and they’re re-learning each other. Melancholy and stunningly-written.

You wanted a taste of it - Body-swap. Steve's looking for Bucky and finds him in the most unexpected way. Painful and gorgeous with just the loveliest ending.

It’s Not Home Without You - Bucky shows up at Steve's apartment. Perfect, soul-wrenching hurt/comfort.

The cold calculus of war - Bucky, still very much the Winter Soldier, tries to figure out why Steve Rogers is wasting all his time on a broken asset. Gorgeous and sad.

Young hearts, out of our minds - The post-Winter Soldier fluff we all need. Steve and Bucky being adorable dorks.

Brooklyn - 8k, G - "Captain America, what's your stance on gay marriage?" Everyone knows that, by now. Everyone but Bucky.

Find My Way - A kind woman at a diner offers a hot meal to a lost, lonely veteran. Fabulous, lovely outsider perspective that will murder your feelings, but also warm your heart.

Scratched Ragged and Rubbed Raw - Steve finds Bucky on the roof of his building. Hurt/comfort of the most painful and perfect variety.

Testament - A non-linear piece focused Bucky's memories. The way that the prose changes as Bucky is changed is just breathtaking. Such a well-done story — brutal, but hopeful, too.

Your favorite ghost - Bucky comes home. You've all read this already — I know — but it's just too fantastic to leave off the list. The most flawless pining; the sense of love and longing is so palpable throughout the entire thing.

And the city kept blinking & under the hounds of hell - Two incredible, heartache-and-hurt/comfort-heavy short pieces. Both feature lovely writing, a Bucky who's fucked up, but still fighting, and a brilliant, fiercely protective Steve. Amazing.

New Words For Old Desires - Bucky reclaims his past, both as James Buchanan Barnes and as the Winter Soldier, through tattoos. A great premise, beautifully executed.

A Good Fight - Tony takes Steve and Bucky to a biker bar to freak them out. As it turns out, he’s the one who’s in over his head. Togina's on this list twice for a reason. This is delightful and humorous and just so much fun.

Parallel Constructions - Bucky recovers; Steve isn't doing so great, either. I am in awe of this story — powerful, honest, and gorgeously written. Pulls zero punches, but also melts your heart.

The Way Up - Bucky's recovery begins when the Winter Soldier breaks into Steve's apartment, and Bucky's arm has got a mind of its own when it comes to Steve. So lovely and charming and done with such skill.

I'll Be Your Safety - Bucky has migraines. Steve takes care of him. Adorable and great — perfect indulgence of my never-ending thirst for hurt/comfort.

Clean up that blood all over your paws - Steve and Sam take Bucky to San Francisco. He doesn't remember, but it's okay, right? Beautiful and haunting and so deftly written. I am the luckiest, because it was written for me.

I've Been Funny, I've Been Cool With The Lines  - 6k, T - Steve's not jealous.

Miles To Go Before I Sleep 11k- Steve finds Bucky outside of the Smithsonian and invites him home.

Home is Where You Are - 8k, T, WIP - "You look at him like he's home, and you're trying like hell to figure out how to get back to it."

Lethe - 6k, E, - Do it," he goads. "Do it or come back home with me and let me help you. But you gotta do it now, Buck, because I can't take another moment of this hell."

In Any Language - 3K, E, - Bucky works through a few issues of his time as the Winter Soldier with Steve’s help. And a lot of sex.

Stickers - 3k, E, - Porn with plot, basically. And Bucky feels.

Triggers - 1K, T, - This one is more Pre-slash.

Even The Darkest Night Will End - 1K, T, - "No," Bucky grits out. "I don't know who Bucky Barnes is. I know that I knew you."

A Long, Lonely Time -400, T, - A rescue. A memory.

End Of The Line - 1K, T, - He runs a finger, one made of flesh, over the picture of Captain America's face. "My name is Bucky, and I know you."

This one has all the Bucky feels.

The Last Heretics - 5K, E, - Bucky gets released from SHIELD custody and he and Steve finally get some time alone.

You Are Not At War - 4K - This one doesn't have a summary, but it's one of my favorites tbh. It has a lot of feels, emotional hurt/comfort, and some porn. Highly recommend this one.

In My Dreams - 4K, M, - Of course it's him. Who else could it be? This one is really good. Hoping for a sequel.

Are You Holding Your Breath - 3K, T, - "I can't do it," he announces without turning around, fingers gripping the counter top as if he's going to shatter and break. "All of these buildings. All I can see are sniper nests." His nails tap against the stone counter top, creating an odd counter balance to the thud of Steve's heart. Steve gives up being Captain America for Bucky in this one.

The Air In There Is Frigid Cold - 900, T, - He finds him in a run-down motel in the middle of nowhere.

Reconstruction Site - 7K, T, - There's a gif at the beginning of the fic that might be bad if you’re prone to seizures. The ending of this fic is absolutely perfect though.

By Any Other - 1K, T, - "James. That was your first name." Rogers said, cutting into the silence that had settled between them. "You didn't like it when we were young. You said it sounded pompous."

I’ll Be Your Personal Soldier - 9K,E, - Seventy years later, Bucky and Steve still have obvious feelings for each other. Seventy years later, they're still too stubborn and awkward to admit it.

This Is A Back Alley - 14K, M, - Here is the only thing you know: the body remembers.

Source Decay - 1K, T, - Slowly, and never quite the way Steve imagined, Bucky comes home.

Like Short Lived Punctuation Marks - 3K, M , - Steve takes Bucky camping in a bid to jog his memories.

Reclaim - 1K, M, - Bucky doesn't like touching Steve with his left hand. It’s everything about himself that he can’t stand, the one reminder of his past that he can't ignore. Not even when he's with Steve. (Written for a friend over on tumblr, just some smut in which Steve helps Bucky understand that he isn't what he's done, and that metal hands can be used for more than killing)

We Were Not - 2K - Steve tries to help Bucky recover some memories. Bucky ends up revealing something Steve had not expected.

The Body Adrift - 4K, M, - Steve has no drawings of Bucky from before. Those are all gone, destroyed in the war or by his own hand; it wouldn't do for anyone to see how easily the details came from memory, how often Bucky was in his thoughts.

Through The Notches In Your Spine - 4K, E, - Bucky Barnes has been broken down to nothing, and he has been pulled back together again, and this—this is the part where he lives.

In The Blur Of Serenity - 2K, T, - The grooves around Bucky's mouth deepen when he grins, rakish and wide. "Don't lie, you loved every decadent minute of it."

Bucky discovers the horror of Wikipedia and Steve sort of fails to make breakfast. Post-Winter Soldier domestic fluff, because there isn’t enough, and they deserve it. :)

Turn And Face The Stranger - 1K, G, -"I should cut my hair." The words are delivered as a statement, but with a hint of uncertainty. Bucky is staring at the stew Steve made, his spoon unmoving in the bowl.

We Did Not Make Ourselves - 25k - It is like steel, the determination inside of you that tells you you will achieve this, that you will find him. Nothing will stop you. You are two sides of the same coin, you and he: he cannot escape you forever. Bucky runs. Steve follows.

To Be Modified As Necessary [modernday] yay for the avengers being like a family :D ok bucky isnt actually in itbut.. just read it its good, funny and sad and everything just read
